From deep within the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania… Hickory is heavy, and one of the most resilient hardwoods. In olden days, hickory was used for spokes on wagon wheels and even the earliest automobile wheels. Hickory was also used for the earliest golf clubs including putters. Today it is used for furniture, flooring, and it still makes for a great putter shaft. (There is nothing like the feel of hickory on a golf putter…. so smooth and controlled.)

Unlike the oak used in the displays, the hickory arrives in a rough cut phase. It starts as a rectangular plank, is ripped down to 1” square pieces and then doweled, forming it into a 1” diameter round shaft.

Using cutting-edge CNC technology from Italy, each shaft is carefully turned to its precise measurement.

The excruciating demands of our 6-point inspection process ensure that only the straightest, highest quality hickory shafts are used.

One of the most important steps in making each putter a masterpiece. We employ a 7-step finishing process for each shaft including multiple sanding and staining operations.
Each Hickory Shaft accepts the stains differently, so no two shafts are alike. Each is truly a one-of-a-kind.

Hand Wrapping is a time-consuming process that is completed with care. The soft feel and distinguished smell of fresh leather enhances the one-of-a-kind mystique of this handsome putter.

The end of the shaft is hand carved and sanded by our craftsman to create the perfect match with the hozzle of the selected putter head.

Each shaft is laser engraved with your personal message or logo using the most precise lasers available in the marketplace. Our high powered 75-watt laser is capable of anything from cutting straight through ½” thick wood to engraving the most delicate picture.
